The Hackney Gazette has reported that Islington Council have failed to agree to solve a crisis in their damp homes.

The Gazette reports that the Council have refused to sign off the recommendations as it would be “too expensive”. The report included recommendations for rehousing people suffering with health problems which could be caused by disrepair. The Council have flat out refused to rehouse individuals suffering with problems and has failed to provide an alternative solution.

We regularly help clients who are suffering with problems such as these in their property. We commonly see that Councils and Housing Associations simply refuse to repair problems as they allegedly do not have enough money to carry out the repairs. Why should you be paying your rent in full when problems which come across go unrepaired?

Rest assured, Fair Repair Scheme are able to help people suffering with problems in their property which go unrepaired.

After completing the online form, one of our team will be in touch to discuss how we can help you. We will book for a photographer to come out to your property to take some pictures of the problems. We will then write to your Housing Provider informing them of the problems. We will then instruct an independent RICS accredited surveyor to complete an in depth report detailing all of the problems in the property and the cost to repair these problems.
